The history of the rockband YEARN'd starts back in september 2000. That's right, the band already exists 11 years and became an established name in the wider region of Tienen (Belgium).
The setlist consists mainly of self written catchy songs. Some call it powerrock, some Brit Rock, others think it sounds very eighties. The musical influence of other groups is clearly heard but the group succeeds in creating an unique sound.

Throughout all these years YEARN'd grew out to a great live-act and they played over 75 gigs. For instance they hit the stages of Suikerrock, Ancienne Belgique, Botanique, 't Kuipke, VK *- Vaartkapoen and Antwerp prison. They also played support-acts for bands like A Brand, Camden, De Mens, Janez Dedt, Mud Flow... Last summer the band had the opportunity to headline the second stage of Belgium's biggest cityfestival Suikerrock. YEARN'd already appeared on four compilationalbums and released the minialbum 'shadows and dust' (receiving very good reviews). YEARN'd is a band you really must see live!

BIOGRAFIE

YEARN'd bestaat 11 jaar in 2011 en is ondertussen een gevestigde doch okselfrisse waarde in de ruime regio rond Tienen. De setlist bestaat voornamelijk uit eigen catchy nummers. Sommigen noemen het powerrock, anderen Britrock, nog anderen vinden het dan weer eighties klinken. De muzikale invloed van andere groepen is in ieder geval duidelijk te horen maar toch slaagt de groep er in om een eigen sound te creëren.

YEARN'd staat bekend om z'n stevige livereputatie. De groep heeft meer dan 75 optredens op z'n actief en speelde oa op Suikerrock (3x), in de Ancienne Belgique, Botanique (2x), 't Kuipke, VK*-Vaartkapoen en de gevangenis van Antwerpen (3x). Opwarmen deden ze al voor oa A Brand, Camden, De Mens, Janez Detd, Mud Flow,... YEARN'd verscheen reeds op een viertal compilatieCD's waarvan twee in de VS en bracht vorig jaar de miniCD ‘shadows and dust’ uit (gratis te downloaden via hun website). Afgelopen zomer mocht de groep, ter gelegenheid van hun tienjarig bestaan, het zijpodium van België's grootste stadsfestival Suikerrock headlinen. YEARN'd is vooral een groep die u zeker en vast live moet zien!
